As I was praying the other day the Lord reminded me of how blessed I really am to have such a great wife. The Lord also showed me a picture of a man working in a gold mine. Then this is what He said. Marriage is like a gold mine. You have to spend long periods of time toiling to retrieve the gold. Once you have it you keep digging to find more. You don’t stop once you have found just a little. Marriage is the same way. You have to spend time working at it. And you have to keep working at it, because once you stop working at it you won’t find any more gold. If you don’t work your gold mine you might just go broke. Most people however view marriage as a jewelry store. They want to buy something that is already shiny. They don’t want to put in the work necessary to make the marriage work so they ditch there marriage in search for a more sparkly relationship. The problem is that because they have not put in the hard work digging out the “gold”, they won’t appreciate the next relationship either. So what will It be for you?
